Insider tips
When booking Egypt, upsell day trip to Cairo or Luxor as these are top places people also like to go.
You can either book these on back office activities or for a bespoke experience (highly recommend), speak to @kafafy_egypt on Instagram or whatsapp +201095969394. Let him know Huma sent you his details and you want commissionable rates.
For agent rates if booking for yourself contact www.wondertravelegypt.com- they provide tours at net rates, one of our fantastic agents Lina has been working with them for years.
Do NOT take the bus trip from Hurghada, Sharm el Sheikh or Luxor. It is hot, tiring and rushed. By the time you get to the pyramids, you won’t be in the mood. It’s the cheaper option but it is by no means the better option. The flight is only 50 mins to 1 hour and you only need to be at the airport 1.5 hours before.
Take note of where your clients are staying as certain excursions are closer to set areas so you need to book the one that would be closest to client otherwise they will pay more when they arrive.
‘Baksheesh’, as in tips, these are pretty much expected everywhere in Egypt for everything. Brits, I suggest you change your notes in for pound coins for the smaller tips. Tipping in Egyptian pounds, you rarely get notes smaller than £50 egp (£2). Tipping in Euros or in dollars also works out more favourable.
