Best time to go

Aruba has the most sunny days out of any of the carribean islands, and is not in Hurricane Alley, which means there's no bad time to visit.

Best suppliers are Major Travel, USAirtour and try Instant Holidays. If booking for yourself as the agent, best to contact the hotel directly.

  • Ritz-Carlton- All inclusive Resort.

  • Renaissance Marriot Hotel- Where the flamingos are. Best to stay here if you want to see them as a day pass to see them is only a little less than staying there for the night. Children only allowed to Flamingo Island 9-10am. Not the best hotel, so only 1-2 nights needed here.

  • Hyatt Regency

  • Hilton Aruba

  • Holiday Inn Resort Beach

  • Barcelo Aruba-All Inclusive

Popular visitors spots:

Alto Vista Chapel-This small Catholic chapel is also known as "Pilgrims Church"- great views of the north coast.

Antilla- Largest ship wreck and very popular diving site.

California Lighthouse- standing more than 90 feet high, the lighthouse is an impressive landmark in the barren almost lunar-like landscape surrounding it.

Fort Zoutman and King Willem III Tower- The oldest remains of the Dutch settlement and Aruba's oldest building, Fort Zoutman, was built in 1796 for protection against pirates and enemies. Now a museum with historical artefacts.

Aruba Aloe Factory- Learn of medicinal qualities of Aloe.

Arikok National Park- the park features cacti-covered landscapes, caves, sand dunes, and unique rock formations.

Oranjestad- charming cruise ship port packed with attractions and family-friendly things to do. Stroll among the brightly-hued Dutch colonial buildings; browse the galleries, shops, and museums; or tour the Aruba Aloe museum and factory or The Butterfly Farm. (Aruba sign also here)

The northwest coast of Aruba, from Druif Beach to Eagle Beach, and Palm Beach to Malmok, is an 11-kilometer sweep of uninterrupted white sand and clear jade waters. Eagle Beach and Palm Beach are favorites.

On the windward east coast, Bachelor's Beach, Boca Grandi, Boca Prins, Dos Playa, Black Stone Beach, and Boca Andicuri have stronger currents and larger waves. Although they are not recommended for swimming, windsurfers and kitesurfers can tackle the swells.

The beaches in the southeast are less populated. Locals' favorite, Baby Beach is great for inexperienced swimmers, with its shallow basin and calm waters.

Hooiberg-hike to the top for fantastic views. And if you prefer a more relaxing sightseeing experience, a great way to get a feel for the city is to hop aboard the bright red Aruba Streetcar, a free open-air bus that runs between the top attractions in the city.
